I’ve acknowledged before that great literary criticism could be academically written about it.

There is in fact a journal/book called The Cultural Politics of Color Blind Casting  on Google Books (that unfortunately costs a ridiculous amount of money) that spends a good chunk discussing Bonnie and her mistreatment. I only read part of it, the free portion, that hits the nail on the head. So her treatment has made it to the academic world.

OMG YES THANK YOU!!!!

I’m a little sad now tho, academic books cost an arm, leg, and an organ. 😢 I’ll have to save up all my Google rewards credit for a while to get it.

It’s been a while since I’ve read? it, and the price seems to have gone down from over $100 to $43.41 which is still out of my price range bit a bit more tangible.
