I ship Bonnie with a lot of people but if your fic is going to have Kai in it and Bonkai isn’t endgame I’m not going to read it.
The only exception I have to this is Tonnie and that’s a) because there’s so few fics with them and b) due to their positions as worst treated characters it’s the only ship I can reasonably see shipped over Bonkai. But this is something I’ve never come across and probably never will.
Can you list all of the times white folks lost their shit over a black woman getting love from the lead white male? So many….
Probably can’t list all of them definitively hun, but to name a few Iris West obviously, Maia from Shadowhunters, Josie in Riverdale the D*lena lost their shit for a little bit when they though Bonnie and Damon were spending to much time together and taking time away from their magic ship.
Anyone else is free to add on more examples if they chose.
White folks lost their shit period over Bonnie. Pretty much any moment she displayed being smarter than the “leads” and more relevant that the “leads” hate popped like it was their second job.
