Day 15 Prompt: near death Characters: Bonnie Bennett, Shelia Bennett Note: I am not sure where this came from. It’s from Shelia’s POV and it’s a different take on this. Hopefully you’ll enjoy.
Shelia Bennett is revered by many — human and the supernatural alike.
She has spent decades building this reputation. To her fellow witches, she has become a bastion of knowledge, someone whose word you can trust. To the vampires that lurk in the shadows, she is a formidable foe; not someone to cross lightly. To the humans of Mystic Falls, she is eccentric, but in the way that demands attention and respect.
The event will take place from 24th to the 31st of October and will extend to the 7th of November due to the late announcement. The themes for the week are as follows:
Day 1: Samhain (The day the dead can walk among the living)
Day 2:Horror Movies (Bonkai in a horror film or watching horror films whatever your interpretation is)
Day 3: Trick or Treat (Bonkai NSFW/Kink day)
Day 4:Pop Culture (Bonkai in Hogwarts, Frankenstein, Silence of the lambs, The Walking Dead, etc., or any pop culture reference)
Day 5: Halloween in TVD (Anything that takes place on Halloween in the TVD universe, past, present, or future)
Day 6:Colors (Different colors that symbolize Bonkai)
Day 7: Free day

Like cool if you don’t ship it – ship and let ship – but don’t shit on it by saying there was no canon base for the relationship when even their actors were pushing for it (altho maybe they just wanted to make out on screen *ahem*koseph). regarding tyler…many of them responded that way because narratives like the plecverse are set up to make people align with power, plain and simple. no matter how justified tyler’s rage was, no matter that we had seen his multi-season struggle against klaus’ tyranny, no matter that we had seen how much he cared about caroline and vice versa, at the end of the day klaus was more powerful – both physically and in terms of being a favorite of the writers who was being primed for a spin off – and people wanted caroline to end up with the most powerful man in the franchise regardless of what her personal feelings and desires were about. power = good in the plecverse, which is why so many shippers to this day insist that klaus “put caroline first” and “cared about her the most”. both these statements are pretty laughably untrue, but the simple fact of klaus being white and powerful in the plecverse means his actions carry more authority than other characters’. it doesn’t matter that tyler literally broke every bone in his body so he could be free to fight for caroline while all klaus did was buy her some jewelry and compliment her after saving her life (that he endangered). klaus buying her a gift > tyler nearly dying for her, because the former is more powerful, and therefore more desired.
people love to say klonnie has no canonical basis or act like it’s a weird crack ship; fandom has a notoriously short memory for stuff like this. the fact that the ship has had so few scenes and yet continues to have not only the quality of fics it does but significant reader interest in the stories says otherwise. as for bonnie being a self-insert…LOL there are certainly many bonnie fans who approach her and write her that way, can’t lie. i occasionally get comments on my fics, asking why bonnie isn’t more pliable to sexual attentions, why she isn’t more “sassy” and “badass”, and there’s several wildly popular fics where bonnie is unrecognizable and basically functions as a self insert for the author. bonnie fans aren’t above wanting to self insert, nor should they be expected to be ( though it’s not my personal cup of tea). but in canon? LOLOLOL literally bonnie is written to be the anti self-insert. every single man on that show has to point their dick at either elena or caroline before they gain entry, whereas bonnie continued to be ignored, downplayed and suffer season after season. the show goes out of its way to remind us that being bonnie is terrible whereas being elena and caroline means you’ll have people falling over themselves to shield you from your mistakes and pledge their loyalty to you. most of the people who write bonnie in fanfic – whether klonnie or other pairings – are motivated by a restorative desire to give her what canon refused to: whether that’s love, agency or simply the space to be a hurting, breathing, human being. anyone who says bonnie/klonnie fanfic is all self insert fantasies is talking out of their ass and i can’t really take their opinions seriously.

WHY!!! 😭😭😭 It was so awful!🤧 it have us Benzo 🤢, delena drama even though she was GONE 🤮, and worst of all, it gave us false hope for Bonnie 😭😭😭.
It might take me longer to get Lifeforms out than I though (which was already a way off anyway) but on the bright side, Me and the Devil is coming along quite nicely which was my May 10th submission, so look out for that soon.
i don’t actually know that much about the length of chris’s relationships in tangent with the length of him being on sets, but i feel like i’ve heard this is the case. if nothing else, he seems to be a bit of a serial monogamist who’s kind of flighty? i’m not sure what his relationship with melissa is like, but they seem to go around each other’s families and have their dogs constantly chillin, so (correct me if i’m wrong) but that seems a step further than his past relationship. i wish them the best, cuz he seems to really like her. and they’re both cute ass people

He and Hanna adopted Drift together (also how cute of a dog name is Drift Wood, I’m deceased) and seemed on the verge of moving in together on IG before he deleted all the (really adorable, #couplegoals) Hanna posts, so…idk dude seems to fall in real deep, real fast then back tf out when it’s no longer convenient. It’s very Taylor Swift of him (not trashing either of their dating habits, just pointing out the similarities). So if he does leave and he and Melissa call it quits, I wouldn’t exactly be shocked.
And I too would be peeping that shit bc I’m Virgo af and other poll’s messiness fuels me
lmao, did he really?? was deleting all the posts necessary? i don’t know how messy the break up was, but shiiiit. i googled them adopting drift and found the photo. yeah, in that case… idk. i thought he was flighty, so this isn’t particularly surprising to me, but it kind of hints that all of the serious ish couple stuff he and melissa are doing might not be like a huge step for him, since he seems to do this with girls he’s into.
edit: after some reading, it seems like hanna and him were moved in actually? found a source saying they posted pictures of their “new home”. it also looks like 3 months after the split, (same with melissa) the two started dating. that’s.. yeah
Don’t know nothing about Chris’ dating life but I know for sure the SG fandom is going to give him hell if he breaks up with Melissa. I’m not even part of the SG fandom and I know all about the drama about Mon-El and them being nasty about Chris. SG fandom is the reason us TVD/Kai Parker fans don’t use the Chris Wood tag anymore.

No doubt the SG fandom is going to go crazy if they break up especially with all the flack they gave him when they first go together because she was married at the time. I can only imagine all the “you ruined a marriage just to break up with her” comments.
Of course for me that makes it just all the more entertaining because he, in all his messy glory, went after a girl who I assume was already in a crumbling marriage, not that I’m judging him, but the fall out from that is sure to be even messier and he can’t just delete 2 years of his life on Instagram.
Of course this is all just hypothetical.
I’m kinda sad we didn’t get this drama, but there’s still time…
