So this one had a great opener, but I couldnāt figure out what more to write so I decided to use that opener and pair it with an edit. Itās not quite a failed draft since I did end up going with it as noted here, but itās a failed one to me because it was supposed to be something more, but my brain couldnāt come up with anything else.
Great Taste:
Sheās never had great taste in men. First there was Ben, she was halfway through planning their wedding in her head before he kissed her and ruined everything. Then there was Shane, no one had ever made her feel as powerful as he did and thatās why she threw out all caution when it came to him and gave him every part of her. The consequences of that were monumental. And now thereās Kai.
She should have known something was wrong with him the moment she felt attracted to him, sheās never had great taste in men. But she fell for him and didnāt even realize it. He was first just someone she could explore mentally, magically, and physically.
She realizes she should have done her homework beforehand searched for more clues that he was a sociopath, but it was too late now, she was all in she just hoped he was too.
Hey anon! Thanks for the good vibes! I am definitely not sure how I did and havenāt heard anything back yet grade wise but hopefully it works out. I am super nervous but weāll see what happens. So I know this prompt would be easy to do one way with Bonnieās perspective but I think Iāll go a different route and I hope you like it!Ā
It had never been and would never be a good idea for a monster to love anything. They werenāt built for it, couldnāt hold on to it.Ā It started with his family and went downhill from there. When the base instincts that you had were violent, impulsive, angry and murderous, everything that you touched got destroyed, especially the things that you loved.Ā
Klaus never intended to fall in love with the witch. Had he intended to use her, mind, body and power? Yes. Had he intended to manipulate and break her, to rebuild her into what he saw fit? Yes. Had he intended to seduce her, to mock her morals, to shroud her in darkness and make her fall for him? Yes. Had he accomplished any of those things? He wasnāt sure and that was the problem.
He was sure of very few things when it came to Bonnie Bennett. The things that he was sure of, made him want to run. He was sure of the fevered obsession that kept him stalking after her night after night, and following behind her day after day. He was sure of the hunger he felt, for her taste, for her touch, to feel her pulse beating beneath his mouth and to have the salt of her skin upon his tongue. He was sure that there were things about her he hated and others that he adored. He was sure that she had a power over him, one that made him weak, that with a smile, or a touch, or a word she could send him spinning and spiraling into anger, into lust, into amusement, into frustration, into joy. He knew that he loved her. He knew that for someone like him that was a dangerous thing. He knew that he was in love with her. He knew that he shouldnāt be. He knew that in the end, the fact would destroy them both.Ā
