Just after Valentine’s day. He liked to sing her sad love songs when she
visited him…She should have killed him, as Ric wanted but he had answers. Elena
remained asleep for months after Stefan died and in that time Kai had toyed
with Bonnie, offering the answers to all her problems…
Alt scene from Succession. During the Ball chapter Shane gives Bonnie the 1994 ascendant. I originally had Bonnie and Kai confront him.
“Tomorrow
I’m going to the Archives. That’s where my ascendant is and I know who has it,
who’s always had it. I need you there because if that sneaky fucking human
doesn’t hand it over I’m going to kill him.”

Bonnie
sighs, which turns into a yawn, and before sleep claims her she lightly slaps
Kai’s hand, which rests on her waist. “Stop threatening my adviser, he’s the
only one I’ve got.”
