Day 26
Prompt: animal
Characters: Bonnie Bennett, Damon SalvatoreThey say an animal stalks the town.
The story spreads like wildfire, moving from house to house. As it does so, it mutates; details melt together and come out as something new. The entire thing takes on a life of its own.
By the time it reaches the Bennett household, the animal is large, covered in black hair with glowing red eyes. Caroline Forbes tells the story with flourish as she and Bonnie do their laundry in the river. For her part, Bonnie manages to look properly afraid but deep down, she has her doubts.
This isn’t the first time a story like this has circulated around the town.

“I’m going to need you to turn your shoulder towards me please. Now lift your head, and look innocent.. Beautiful”

Everything turned out better than expected.
My website – My Instagram – See me on LINE Webtoon!
Imagine a Bonnie and Kai spinoff on Netflix, that’s darker and grittier with a more explicit horror and thriller premise. Rich and complex world building with witchcraft, magic and the occult. Witches as fleshed out, multifaceted with their own society and culture. Better special effects
this would actually only exist in my wildest dreams and my ideal utopian world. ugh
the fact julie had the opportunity to even PARTIALLY do this and didnt astounds the fuck out of me. she put chris in containment on a halfassed character when she could have instead continued kai (and the gemini’s legacy) and finished bonkai like any sane individual would have
a whole fucking spinoff about actual witches instead of the mess of hybrids :^))) ugh
and dont even get me started on the idea of bonkai just completely on netflix without any more cw
See I watched the show for it’s entire 8 year run (with a few gaps in the middle) so it doesn’t surprise me that she missed so many opportunities with Bonkai because by that point she missed so many great possibilities and mostly in favor of Delena, or Elena herself because trust me everything interesting about her character ran it’s course at the end of season 2, after that al she was left with in terms of relevance to her own show was a love triangle.
It reminds me of interview she used to do back in the day where she was essentially begrudge that her show wasn’t on HBO like True Blood. She would talk about how she had to morr creative because she had more limitations than a network like HBO and I would have agreed with her had that actually been what was in the way of quality, and she had been creative because had she been on Netflix, HBO, or Showtime the show would have essentially just been softcore porn with Damon because that’s essentially the show she already wrote with the CW.
So had Plec made a spin-off with Bonnie, Kai, and the Gemini coven I’m not so sure I would have liked it or stuck around for it because nothing would be getting better but there’s plenty of opportunity for it to get worse which is why I haven’t even so much as watched a trailer for Legacies. I’m not interested in any story she has to tell even if it’s with characters I like.
If it’s a debate about immortality, then Qetsiyah takes the entire cake because her spell was actually immortal. And she had the cure. Dahlia just had a hibernation. Fandom goes “but she retains her magic” okay but the argument is immortality, and Qetsiyah succeeded, Dahlia didn’t
Exactly, sure her immortals spent most of their time locked in tombs but that was their punishment for using her and stealing her elixir. Dahlia wished she could do something that infallible. You could not kill Qetsiyah’s immortals without a cure. You could kill Dahlia without and cure and the Originals. How are these even in the same league as each other. Not to mention the other side which spanned all supernatural beings and the fact that the cure could undo Esther’s spell. It is no competition and these people acting like there is.
Witches attending a magical academy, that’s less Harry Potter and more like the school from The Magicians.
You mean what Plec’s trying to accomplish with a school run by zero witches, and only have trial and error experience to the point that you wonder why this school is even a thing.
But yeah, I actually kind of imagine the Gemini’s have a version of this since though he Kai didn’t have his own magic but had a lot of knowledge on it as did the rest of the Parkers. It just seems like Bonnie was the only witch excluded from this type of education.
Me reading about Bonnie killing off her so called friends in this dark fic: you’re doing amazing, sweetie
Ugh, brings me back to the disappointment of 4×19 when Bonnie a) didn’t get to kill Elena, b) came out the bad guy despite Elena attacking first, and c) Elena getting all the free passes because her humanity was off but Bonnie wasn’t given they same leeway and she was being taken over by expression, something a lot stronger than “ I can’t feel anything”.
dude, when elena was trying to kill bonnie in that episode i about lost my damn mind
that shit made my teeth itch
That wasn’t even the worst part. The worst part was when she told Bonnie that she was a walking reminder of everything that bad in her life because she couldn’t bring Jeremy back.
It was like first of all, what level of entitlement do you have that thinks even for a bit that that’s Bonnie job, he was already on borrowed time because she brought him back before be thankful for that. Second of all, if you want to blame anyone for his death how about yourself because you couldn’t deal with something everyone else had forced on them and you had a choice. And lastly, what the fuck do you think seeing your face does to her–she has lost every important person in her life because of you, so to stand there like s your entitled to something from her and blame her for all your problems…go fuck yourself.
