That fic sounds amazing, have you posted it if not would you ever? The thing with Bonnie js that the writers never allowed her to have her ‘fuck this’ moment like the other characters. They stuck her in the selfless caring witch box which made pretty much every decision she made, that did not benefit the mystic falls gang, criticised. I would love slutty Bonnie though simply because I think kat is gorgeous and it’s ridiculous that non of the male characters are attracted to her at all.

The fic has been posted for years, My Discarded Men, has 3 chapters and hasn’t been update for 2 years due to that chapter I described. I’m about 700 words into chapter 4 and I hope to finish it soon, but I said that 2 years ago, lol. It’s actually the first fic I ever wrote for TVD. I haven’t read it in a while so lord knows what the quality is like since it’s one of the first fics I ever wrote.

Edit: I live for slutty Bonnie as well. I have a fic rec post, here, while there’s a lot, but you should be able to find quite a few more fics in that vein.

I agree about what you said about stefonnie. I just wish they had a big fuck you to Damon and elena and just got to together or at least developed something more than friendship. And again if ripper stefan had tried to get with Bonnie. I feel like Plec really did her best to make Bonnie come across as undesirable by everyone so if someone like stefan who has the same traits as her had wanted to be with her, I would have been into it. But I also see some stuff with Paul and Kat lol.

I wish that too. It’s funny I have this really old fic, My Discarded Men, and the next chapter was essentially supposed to do that. Basically Damon and Elena would catch them fucking (it was a smut fic) in the living room, Elena would be out raged because that’s her ex-boyfriend and her best friend (and wouldn’t have a left to stand on since she fucked his brother less than 24 hrs after breaking up with him), and Damon would be mad because he’s possessive and the earlier chapter her fuck Bonnie, and presumably continued to until Elena decided to be with him. But I kept getting stuck at the seduction. In the fic Bonnie is OOC due to expression which just makes her slutty and mischievous. What I got stuck at was I didn’t want ot to be revenge on Stefan’s part, I wanted Stefan to desire Bonnie but try to resist it like the other characters in the story (except for Damon who jumped at the opportunity) and that was just unusually hard because he’s a character who’s good with resistance.

Anyway I get what you mean about the undesirable stuff–it’s the most frustrating part of the show that the best she could do was a Jeremy, Elena’s little brother, and Enzo, rando character #2 who contributed nothing even interesting to the show. I think if S3 ripper!Stefan trying to get with Bonnie would have made her seem more desirable than if he was just normal Stefan because there’s just more truth to characters when they’re being bad and nothing boosted a character’s standing in TVD like being desired by a villain (and Enzo doesn’t count because he was barely a character let alone the “villain” you need character motivation for that). Also I’m very sure Paul and Kat would have loved the extra screen time together since they rarely got to be in scenes together.

The Bennett coven as this powerful clan of southern gothic witches. I am bitter we never truly saw them as a coven in modern times. Bonnie discovers her magic after her mother bound it to keep her safe. And she reconnects with these witch relatives, aunties and cousins

Nothing to add. I’m just as bitter that the only surviving Bennett’s are Abby who’s a Vampire and Bonnie who’s died on multiple occasions. Plec was dead set on wiping out the Bennetts and I’m pretty given the opportunity on Legacies she’s going to do the same so her messiah children can be relevant.

So I have a question: Since dancing is considered really intimate and symbolic in TVD what type of dancing would you give to BonKai?

Probably not quite the answer you’re looking for but I imagine their first dance happening in the prison world but forced on Bonnie to the song “Crazy” by Patsy Cline. It’ll be disturbing and very scary for Bonnie, but that’s kind of Bonkai.

If I was going to insert it into a scene it would be the one after Bonnie wakes up from being shot with a crossbow. She’s weak and in pain, and the song is playing and he wants to dance. He’ll lament about how he’s never felt the way Patsy Cline felt in the song until her, and he’s telling her about the girls he dated pre-inprisonment and how he couldn’t muster up a single feeling, and then soon after stabs him in the neck with a pen.

Their next dance I imagine would be like a combination of my two asks where she gets back to the real world and has trouble adjusting to the lack of violence to the point that she has a violent outburst of magic at a party that kills everyone but her. Kai walks in on the scene and is delighted at the carnage. He walks to the jukebox and turns on “Don’t let me be misunderstood” by Nina Simone and then approaches her. He holds out his hand for them to dance but she’s in no mood due to hysterics. He tells her “it’s just one dance” and she obliges. After that they move awkwardly slow while she cries on his chest.

So essentially I’d give them very dark and twisted dancing for a very dark and twisted ship.

What do you think about stefonnie?

This will probably get me in trouble but I’m honestly pretty meh about them, but I’m also pretty meh about Stefan unless he’s in ripper mode or fun sarcastic mode which are sides of him you don’t get to see often because he’s too wrapped up in Elena. So that probably has more to do with my feelings about the ship than the ship itself. I need to care about both characters to get into a ship, it’s why I’ve never liked one Elena ship (although side note: I do actually like Stefonnie and more than SE). Damon is kinda a special case where I only care about him when he’s with Bonnie, but she improved his personality to the point of likability.

In theory it should work because they’re very alike, but I think that’s what makes me meh about it, they’re almost too similar. They’re both very loyal, willing to do anything for loved ones, and always put more effort in than is given back so it would be nice to see those traits finally reciprocated from someone they love, but that’s not enough to keep my attention. For me I just don’t see much outside of that. I don’t get that “missing piece” feel from them.

Like if he showed interest in Bonnie instead of Elena in the Pilot I’m not sure that would make a difference in how I feel about the ship. Same if he was showing more of the traits that I like from his character because even though it would be more of a contrast, it’s not the type of contrast that gives me opposites attract vibes.

But I will say this, I like them more than Kennett, a ship I notoriously can’t get into because it just doesn’t draw me in. Stefonnie does draw me on on a certain level just not on the level of Bonkai, or Tonnie, or even Bamon, but I can get into the ship.

So I guess my official answer is I like the ship, but it doesn’t make me all giddy inside.

Bonnie jumping on Kai, wrapping her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck and they’re heatedly making out right after killing somebody is such a powerful aesthetic. They’re high off of the kill and the black magic surging through both of them.

Very Bonnie and Clyde except instead of them dying in a hail of bullets they use magic and reverse the trajectory of the bullets killing everyone around them except themselves.

This is just reminding me I need to get back to my fic Outlaws.

Boo-Kai | Day 2: Horror Movies

A Nightmare on Elm Street

Headcanons for Bonnie and Kai’s twin children?

  • Though she expected it Bonnie is kinda pissed she’s pregnant with twins and makes this dissatisfaction know to Kai throughout her whole pregnancy. It’s not that she didn’t want kids, or two for that matter, it was two AT ONCE that she found especially overwhelming
  • Bonnie gets impossibly big as the twins grow inside her. She was already really small to begin with put two kids inside her and it’s almost comical, or very comical because Kai won’t stop laughing about it. It’s a nightmare when she needs help up, which is always because she’s growing two kids. But she gets him back.
  • The twins powers start manifesting on utero which indicates that at least one of them isn’t a siphon.
  • They’re identical twins, two girls, Luna and Cyrus. Bonnie can tell them apart because she’s their mother, Kai can tell them apart based on their magic
  • They’re Bennett because the Bennetts were a matriarch
  • Though their identical their mismatched in their magic, Luna is a siphon, and Cyrus is a normal witch.
  • They’re both extremely powerful in their abilities. Luna can siphon an original to desiccation and Cyrus can do the same no sacrifice needed.
  • They’re the twins that end the merging ritual much to the annoyance of the rest if the coven. They try to undermine Kai by using Jo’s twins but are quickly thwarted by both Bonnie and Kai.
  • They eventually lead the Gemini coven together and implement a new order with one siphon and one regular witch to keep the balance as nature had intended when it created siphoners in the Gemini coven.
  • Bonnie passes down the grimoire from each of the ancestors in the Bennett line.
  • Each year they honor the Bennett ancestors for all that they sacrificed.
  • Being ancestors of both Silas and Qetsiyah, and on top of that the magic from each member of the Gemini coven they are virtually unstoppable and due to Bonnie’s parenting they were great leaders.

Bonnie desperately needed connections and relationships outside of the Mystic Falls gang. I like to think she has female cousins from her witch side who she has been getting to know better. Just something, you know? Kai would know she’s too good for that town

Very much so, it’s why my favorite Bonnie ships usually involve characters that are removed from the mystic falls gang. There was a lot to explore regarding her character and the MFG always held her back from it which is why I always open to new characters coming and sweeping her away.

You’re talking about Lucy which I agree with you, she should have talked to her more, but the only episode she’s in, beside her 10 seconds in the finale, she has a line that gets on my nerves every time, “the middle is exactly where you belong.” They introduce a character who can help Bonnie but instead she shoves her back into her place as their servant. She’s done letting vampires control her, why isn’t she encouraging Bonnie to do the same? I understood the potential of Lucy and why people held on to that, but she proved to be just as useless as her friends in one line for me.

But also here’s the thing about Bonnie’s isolation, I don’t actually mind it all that much, in fact, it’s a catalyst for a lot of development BUT never used because the writers never wanted her to have development but rather just be on call for whatever her white friends needed. Watching her struggle and figure out things on her own is an interesting story but we never see that, we just see her suffer–no character development to be had. I like her going out and pursuing things on her own, never been all that attached to “guide” characters because I prefer self discovery stories, and if she was written with consistency and the way she was supposed to she wouldn’t need outside help, at least as much as she does in the show.

Kai really loves eating.
