SAME GURL! WHEN HE WAS ALL, “I LOVE HER” TO JANA I WAS 😱….like I get it, crisis situation, they had great chemistry, but goddamn, you’d think he’d run screaming in the other direction about how fast and strong the feelings were coming in. It seemed ooc for the things implied abt him. But I guess it did make it sadder when Katie died. It was just a weird thing overall? Like a baby was just born and there were raving junkies and The Contagious around and he’s just confessing his love for this lady TO HIS EX-GF WHO IS THE CURRENT GF OF HIS BFF WTF EVEN
So pretty much Plec can’t write romance in general which is sad, but I’m kinda glad that her terrible writing isn’t exclusive to TVD, it’s just worse there.
Although I think I would have much preferred the show making Katie’s death about her son’s pain than Jake’s because him losing her seemed more like a ‘missed connection’ situation than losing the ‘love of you life’. Maybe it’s because I’m a little unemotional as person and thus I don’t hold romance in such high regard, but that should have been more about a boy losing his mother than that guy she dated for all of a week and a half. I’ll give Chris this, his acting was on point — it’s not his fault that he got trapped in bad writing.
“I was one of those weirdos who, at six years old, was telling everybody that I wanted to be an actor. I saw my sister in a play and realized that I wanted to play make believe in front of people; I was always goofing around and putting on shows for my family.”
My favorite role of Chris aka the role that introduced me to him was his role as Kai Parker in The Vampire Diaries. The moment he appeared in 6×03 I absolutely fell in love with him. He played Kai Parker role so perfectly and he was the reason I kept watching TVD after giving up on it around season 3.
“Chris showed up on ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and instantly started blowing everyone’s minds, but my love for him was clinched when Paul Wesley, who is hilariously very sparing with his compliments, texted me after his first day of directing Chris and said, ‘This guy is unbelievably good,’” Plec raves.
