Bonnie and Stefan are both huge bookworms and enjoy curling up in their study, sharing mugs of tea and reading by the fireplace.
They often curl up under the same blanket and do crosswords together, mondler style.
Stefan would be super supportive of Bonnie’s magic and would probably go out of his way to locate other coven’s, to give Bonnie a support system once her grams died.
Stefan kisses the back of Bonnie’s hand, a lot. He’s just so enchanted by her when they first met that when she extended her hand for a shake her automatically kissed it, not trying to be suave or anything, just so utterly enamoured.
Canon: after the carwash scene where Bonnie sets the car on fire, Stefan immediately drives over to her house to see if she’s okay.
Lots of hugs. Lots of height difference hugs, with Stefan enveloping Bonnie’s entire frame and just pulling her into his chest.
AU: Bonnie is a witch in the 1600s and Stefan is a vampire she and Stefan fall in love but their love is forbidden because-because Bonnie’s coven abhor vampires and + nobody is supposed to know that Bonnie is a witch so the coven worries Bonnie’s relationship with Stefan would risk her exposure. Forbidden romance all round. (Very tempted to write this btw, I could be bribed)
Bonus: Katherine, Stefan’s sire who abandoned him after turning him and his brother (because love/humanity is a vampire’s greatest weakness) but has been secretly obsessed with him for years and still keeps tabs on him; finds out about Bonnie and vows to destroy her.
Instead of going ‘as friends’ with Matt and Caroline, Stefan escorts Bonnie to prom. (He also takes her to the Mikaelson ball)
Bonnie learnt how to cook from her Grams, Stefan’s Italian roots demand it, so they’re often in the kitchen together, exchanging recipes for meal times, or just messing around and baking cupcakes.
Stefan likes to leave Bonnie little gifts or messages around the house because he loves that little crinkly thing she does with her nose when she finds them.
When it’s raining, Bonnie goes and finds Stefan and curl up in his lap until the storms over. She makes him read her whatever book he has his hand at the time but Bonnie usually falls asleep before the chapters through.
