Wish me luck
Today is my first day back since being suspended and they want to talk to me. It’s not looking good so far since my paycheck hasn’t come in through my direct deposit. I fear they’re going to fire me and give me my last paycheck in one fall swoop, but I still have hope, and even if I didn’t I started applying to other places. I’m just praying Hotep Harry doesn’t win because after all he’s put me through for months, wouldn’t that be the cosmic joke.
I’m sitting awake just mad. He made my life hell working with him and now he’s making my life hell because I requested not to work with him. I’ve put in applications to other companies in case, even if I don’t get fired if I hear back from one I’m going to leave because I can’t continue to work in the same place as him, he’s made it to hostile to want to come to work.
So after weeks of enduring Hotep Harry’s degrading comments not only towards me but several other groups of people I requested a new partner and my job is now in jeopardy because of it. Yep, sounds fair. All I know is if I get fired he is going to Watergated because I’ve got several recording with his crazy rantings.
Life Update: Hotep Harry
Good News: There will no longer be Hotep Wednesdays as I finally gained the balls to request a new partner.
Bad News: Consequences of him being pissed at me. I’m not proud of it but last week I got so frustrated at him I stabbed him in the arm with a pen. He was completely within his rights to report me I just know that had I not requested another partner yesterday he wouldn’t have reported it. He had 5 days and yesterday would have been the opportune moment as he would have to work with me again, but he chose the day after. But I’m not surprised, once in a conversation we had in reference to requesting a new partner he made a thinly veiled threat to my job which at the time I wasn’t fazed because I had the recordings to back me up, but now the recordings are irrelevant. The bright side is my company values honesty and I owned up to my discretion, so no talks of firing me have happened, I’m just suspended, but I’ll take whatever the consequences are. What I did was not good or a normal reaction at all–they’re talking about assault charges which I can’t argue with, but no major damage was done, I wasn’t trying to hurt him I was just trying to get him to take my anger seriously since my words seemed to not be getting the message through to him.
Oh dear lord, Hotep Harry just said the scariest thing he’s ever said.

Also note he never gave a specific country just “Africa” as though that would solve all his problems which are rooted in his resentment of getting married and having kids too young–something Africa can’t solve.
I just really wanted to tell him we’re in the US at a job you chose to have so shut the fuck up because we gotta take this guy to the ER.
