-I cry every time I watch the scene. And I’m not ashamed.

You know I actually kinda always sympathized with John and this fic I read “Past is Prologue”: https://archiveofourown.org/works/289427 made me sympathize with him more. It was just so heartbreaking watch him have to deal with watching his child grow up and call someone else dad.
