Jasmine 

 As a kid she was my favorite because she was my name sake, and as an adult you would think that would change but she’s still my favorite. As a kid she was the princess who best represented me and not just due to her name but also skin color. It took me until my teen years to realize she wasn’t black. So I appreciate her for that. Also she was always so beautiful to me and I loved all of her outfits. 

I also quite liked her personality. Of all the princesses she the least damsel in distress-like. Aladdin does come to save her, but they work together instead of her just sitting and waiting. She was very capable and made that known from the jump when Aladdin underestimates her. She didn’t want to just be married off without a say in her future and she makes it very known when shes upset especially when underestimated so I liked the amount of power she seemed to have compared to other princesses, although she does come from a more privileged perspective. She was one of those “it’s on the inside that counts” princesses which is always a bonus with me even though Belle, or Beauty and the Beast isn’t one of my favorites.

 But basically, she was who I saw myself most in and still continues to be, so she’s still my favorite.
