Gone Girl AU: Silas/Qetsiyah

“What are you thinking? How are you feeling? What have we done to each other? What will we do?”

“We weren’t ourselves when we fell in love, and when we became ourselves – surprise! – we were poison. We complete each other in the nastiest, ugliest possible way.”

“I’m the cunt you married. The only time you liked yourself was when you were trying to be someone this cunt might like. I’m not a quitter, I’m that cunt. I killed for you; who else can say that? You think you’d be happy with a nice Midwestern girl? No way, baby! I’m it.”

Qetsiyah’s calcified blood in the tombstone was equivalent in power to a celestial body or event. But sure, Esther is the most powerful witch around 🙄

The weird thing about this is that Plec did this to herself. If she wanted Esther, Hope, Freya, Dahlia, white witch, etc. to be the most powerful witches in the universe she should have done exactly that. Instead she chose the negation route which isn’t surprising since they’ve been doing that since S1–handmaiden my ass.

If it’s a debate about immortality, then Qetsiyah takes the entire cake because her spell was actually immortal. And she had the cure. Dahlia just had a hibernation. Fandom goes “but she retains her magic” okay but the argument is immortality, and Qetsiyah succeeded, Dahlia didn’t

Exactly, sure her immortals spent most of their time locked in tombs but that was their punishment for using her and stealing her elixir. Dahlia wished she could do something that infallible. You could not kill Qetsiyah’s immortals without a cure. You could kill Dahlia without and cure and the Originals. How are these even in the same league as each other. Not to mention the other side which spanned all supernatural beings and the fact that the cure could undo Esther’s spell. It is no competition and these people acting like there is.

laufire:

the Qetsiyah vs Silas plot has the weird side-effect of getting me to stop hating the main trio’s antics and THAT is the sign of its true power tbh

The only bearable episodes in season 5 all have Qetsiyah, the rest was trash, well even those episodes were trash but Qetsiyah and Silas at least made it interesting trash. After they leave it’s like “who cares” because I sure didn’t.

qetsiyah and stefan? (i don’t know how old that ship meme is you reblogged). i saw your gifs of them and was reminded that i kinda shipped them in their scenes

Qetsiyah x Stefan: ew / nonono / maybe / ship it / aww / otp / MY HEART

When I think about season 5 the only bearable part that I actually like was Qetsiyah, but I especially loved her with Silas, and Stefan. They had a chemistry that could go from charge to sweet and I loved every second of it. In fact it’s only thing I loved, not only from that season, but also from Silas or Stefan. She reignited any feelings I had about Stefan (to clarify it’s not that I didn’t like him before I just didn’t care about him. As a casual viewer he’s a very bland character until he’s with anyone but Elena or Damon) and I only liked Silas when he was in scenes with her.

i thought stefan and qetsiyah were particularly interesting because at first glance, there was already this chemistry and pull physical wise (they look super hot together, but also qetsiyah’s “big love” was someone who looked just like stefan). so seeing that dynamic was really interesting, because stefan is a kind hearted and extremely loyal person, AKA the exact opposite of silas in personality and soul. kind of wish they’d been a thing. would’ve been 👌👌👌

I do too. I hated how they pushed Damon into the narrative with her and had Stefan be just as terrible to her as Silas forcing the doppelganger thing even more down people’s throats.

Which is kinda weird that I didn’t like him with Qetsiyah because at the time I was kinda rooting for Damon, and at the time I still liked his character, but this was the season that tore everything down on terms of Damon and it starts really early on. Granted Damon has always been that annoying but season 5 is his peak to me because he got so annoying that I couldn’t casually watch the show as I used to.

Anyway I would have been definitely down for Stefan x Qetsiyah and watching him actually move on from Elena.
