So a while ago I made a post about a survey for Bonnie fans. Iā€™m going to be officially closing it on Friday, October 27th, 2017.

For those if you who donā€™t know what it is hereā€™s the information from the original post:

I have a survey for you. Itā€™s not a short one, itā€™s between 26-31 questions depending on your answers and some of those you have to write in yourself. It isnā€™t short so I completely understand if you donā€™t have the time or want to take this.

It consists of 4 parts:

Part One: Just some general preferences regarding her like her ships, wardrobe, plot lines and characterization.

Part Two: Viewership and how consistently you watched the show.

Part Three: Your opinions on her treatment on the show.

Part Four: The shortest part having to do with your personal experience watching the character and being in the fandom.

Now the reason why Iā€™m doing this mainly curiosity but alsoā€¦

Itā€™s no secret that TVDā€™s ratings tanked during the later seasons mostly due to a drop in quality, but thereā€™s also the Bonnie Bennett factor and her treatment that contributes to that. I know there are plenty of people that stopped watching because of her treatment as a character and I wanted to analyze how much tat played into our viewership of the show. I can say a general statement likeĀ ā€œmost Bonnie fans were dissatisfied with her treatment on the show and stopped watching, and/or only stayed to support herā€ but I wanted to see if thatā€™s really true because in my experience on other forums and such not a lot of people defend her as a character, and a lot of those people claim to be fans of her. Are those fake fans or do they really make up a lot f her fan base? Thatā€™s basically what this aims to find out.Ā 

I know a lot of you have absolutely no clue who I am which isnā€™t surprising since Iā€™ve only been on tumblr for about six months and Iā€™m about as antisocial online as I am in life, but I genuinely want peopleā€™s opinions, so please take this survey – itā€™s long but revolves completely around Bonnie and your enjoyment of her character, so itā€™s not too grueling.Ā

It’s a wildcard but Stefonnie headcanon please!

Hey no worries, I donā€™t not ship Stefonnie if that makes sense. Theyā€™re kind of a crack ship/brotp. I will do my best!

  • Bonnie and Stefan are both huge bookworms and enjoy curling up in their study, sharing mugs of tea and reading by the fireplace.
  • They often curl up under the same blanketĀ and do crosswords together, mondler style.

  • Stefan would be super supportive of Bonnieā€™s magic and would probably go out of his way to locate other covenā€™s, to give Bonnie a support system once her grams died.
  • Stefan kisses the back of Bonnieā€™s hand, a lot. Heā€™s just so enchanted by her when they first met that when she extended her hand for a shake her automatically kissed it, not trying to be suave or anything, just so utterly enamoured.
  • Canon: after the carwash scene where Bonnie sets the car on fire, Stefan immediately drives over to her house to see if sheā€™s okay.
  • Lots of hugs. Lots of height difference hugs, with Stefan envelopingĀ Bonnieā€™s entire frame and just pulling her into his chest.
  • AU: Bonnie is a witch in the 1600s and Stefan is a vampire she and Stefan fall in love but their love is forbidden because-becauseĀ Bonnieā€™s coven abhorĀ vampires and + nobody is supposed to know that Bonnie is a witch Ā so the coven worries Bonnieā€™s relationship with StefanĀ would risk her exposure. Forbidden romance all round. (Very tempted to write this btw, I could be bribed)
  • Bonus: Katherine, Stefanā€™s sire who abandoned him after turning him and his brother (because love/humanity is a vampireā€™s greatest weakness) but has been secretly obsessed with him for years and still keeps tabs on him; finds out aboutĀ Bonnie and vows to destroy her.
  • Instead of goingĀ ā€˜as friendsā€™ with Matt and Caroline, Stefan escortsĀ Bonnie to prom. (He also takes her to the Mikaelson ball)
  • Bonnie learnt how to cook from her Grams, Stefanā€™s Italian roots demand it, so theyā€™re often in the kitchen together, exchanging recipesĀ for meal times, or just messing around and baking cupcakes.
  • Stefan likes to leave Bonnie little gifts or messages around the houseĀ because he loves that little crinkly thing she does with her nose when she finds them.
  • When itā€™s raining, Bonnie goes and finds Stefan and curl up in his lap untilĀ the storms over. She makes him read her whatever book he has his hand at the time but Bonnie usually falls asleep before the chapters through.
  • Three things that initially made Bonnie fall for Stefan:Ā 
  1. His chivalry
  2. His respect for witches
  3. His respect for women in general.
