Tonnie Prompt: Loss of Virginities Pre-show

Always accepting prompts

Bonnie Bennett is not a virgin.

At first it feels strange to think that but then it sort of grows on her.  By the time a week passes, she finds herself walking down the halls of Mystic Falls High a little differently.  Maybe it is a newfound confidence; maybe it is the result of holding on to something that she just wants to keep for her.

Caroline and Elena notice — and of course ask (well, Caroline demands).  Bonnie doesn’t tell them.  She doesn’t want the questions and frankly she doesn’t think they will understand.  Because Elena is a virgin; she has embraced the idea, preferring to wait for that special someone (whatever that means).  Caroline is a virgin too; she might talk like she isn’t but deep down Bonnie and Elena know Caroline has a way with words.

They are virgins.  Bonnie is not.

Neither is Tyler Lockwood.

He should be the last person she wants to be that close to.  He has two automatic strikes: jock and spoiled rich kid.  He wears those labels proudly, practically barreling through the school like he owns it (come to think of it, there might be some truth to that).

Bonnie has always curled her nose up at that type.  She likes to see herself as from humble beginnings — the only child in a middle income home, raised mostly by her father after her mother bolted.  She is grounded; she knows what it is like to be without therefore she cannot condone the kind of actions Tyler engages in (she had envisioned tripping him up the day he had gleefully knocked the food tray out of Jeremy Gilbert’s hands).

Still, he had smiled her way and there was something about it that curled deep in her stomach.  She had tried to pass it off (hormones, so many hormones) but she fought a losing battle.

He has touched her like no one else has.  Softly at first and then more boldly.  There is something animalistic about Tyler Lockwood — something that demands her attention and threatens to consume her.

He has touched her and as she walks down the hall and meets his hooded gaze, she realizes she wants him to do it again.

Because she is not a virgin (and she likes it that way).
