Not only is this death nonsensical, but they threw Kai’s motives in the fucking trash as well. He said he was killing Jo’s twins to “avoid Gemini competition” but then he kills himself which destroys the Gemini ANYWAY, and him being a heretic actually severs his link to the gemini to begin with. (proof of this can be seen in how all the heretics used to be gemini but lost that when they became vampires. they consequently don’t perish when gemini coven leaders (like kai) do). Just… none of it made any fucking sense lol. They wrote him off so quick they almost had a damn stroke doing it. and cmon, damon beheading an ENTIRE vampire head with the tips of his fingers? jfc
The way he goes from looking amused to having this like…dead-eyed bitter look in the s8 gif. God either Chris is just THAT good of an actor or something about Kai just make all his training click and come to life.
