You’re putting all of your attention on me
Take your best shot I bet you’ll miss
You got me interested enough to stand closer
Maybe try a little, kissYou hit the bullseye, baby
Now I’m into you crazy
Don’t know how you got me started
I’m not an easy target
You hit the bullseye, You hit my heart
klonnie au: if they belonged in a taylor swift video
Say you’ll remember me
Standing in a nice dress, staring at the sunset, babe
Red lips and rosy cheeks
Say you’ll see me again even if it’s just in your wildest dreams

@airaze-blog – neeeeever gonna stop attacking you with this
Tell you what, we could’ve had a good life together, fuckin’ real good life! Had us a place of our own. But you didn’t want it, Ennis, so what we’ve got now is Brokeback Mountain! Everything’s built on that! That’s all we got, boy, fuckin’ all. So I hope you know that, even if you don’t never know the rest! You count the damn few times we’ve been together in nearly twenty years and you measure the short fucking leash you keep me on – and then you ask me about Mexico and you tell me you’ll kill me for needing somethin’ I don’t hardly never get.
Brokeback Mountain (2005) dir. Ang Lee
This movie will always make me laugh, not because of the movie, but because of the memory attached to it.
So one day when I was 13 I was watch TV in the living room with grandmother (she lived with us at the time). She’s going through the channels and we had the HBO, Showtime, etc. free for a period of time so those are the channels she sifting through.
She see Brokeback Mountain and is immediately excited because she loves westerns and even goes into a whole story about the westerns she saw when she was a little girl. She obviously has no prior knowledge as to what this movie is about but I did.
Now my grandmother is white and faux-religous, but religious enough for me to know she’s not going to like this movie and I don’t know how to tell her that. I try to get her to watch something else but she was adamant about watching the “western”. About 20 minutes in to watching we get to the motel scene, which is actually quite abrupt if you start the film midway through like we did. The noise that came out of her mouth when she realized this was not the westerns of her childhood and was about cowboys is so ingrained into my memory that everytime a see anything about Brokeback Mountain I can’t help but burst into full on laughter.
Dark!BonKai AH AU: After losing a bet Bonnie Bennett must spend a week in Old Mystic Falls, a section of the town that was walled off due to a plague or so it’s been said. Making sure she’s thoroughly prepared Bonnie scales the wall to the other side. Upon landing she discovers that its not much different from New MF save for the amount of abandoned homes. Though it seemed peaceful her gut instincts said to be on constant guard, finding a house that looked to be recently vacated Bonnie opted to settle there for the duration of her stay.
A few days pass and the small section still seems fairly normal, although there seems to be less people around than before. After a while Bonnie starts to feel as if she’s being watched wherever she goes. Little things are taken from her bags or left on the doorstep, she also noted that the remaining citizens steered clear of her nowadays. On her final day a young man appears before her door with an axe in hand dripping with blood. Every last instinct screamed for her to get out of there.
“I’ve been wanting to talk to you since you first arrived here.” His voice is smooth, deep, but not too deep. “It’s so nice to finally meet you.” At her guarded look he put the axe behind his back. “Sorry, where are my manners? I’m Kai.”
His fake politeness didn’t deter Bonnie in the slightest. She kept her face neutral while plotting ways to get away. “Charmed.”
Glancing at the axe, suddenly the missing people made so much sense, the odd yet pitiful stares from the women too. They all knew and yet did or said anything to warn her. This man is a hunter and she’s his next prey. Bonnie didn’t ask questions or think twice, plans be damned, she spun on her heel and ran.
Okay so this au was inspired this prompt and was way too interesting to pass up. This is also a little gift for @fuckitimfangirling‘s birthday today, you’re such an inspiration and wonderful friend. I hope you enjoy your bday girl!
Oh, she don’t love me, she don’t love me,
she don’t love me, she don’t love me but that’s okay.
