While I do get so annoyed with Lip here I kinda understood it. He wasn’t really mad at Fiona, it just shows how many trust issues Frank and Monica instilled in him. He grew up with people he knew that he couldn’t trust with their own children, people who destroyed trust as fast as they built it, so when Fiona starts to display that similar behavior alarm bells start going off in his head and Fiona takes his shit because she understands those alarms bells because she gets them every time Frank or Monica come near her kids.

He was mad at Fiona but what he was mostly mad at was becoming the new Fiona which is why he comes around later when he says that maybe she needed a break from being the responsible one.
