A very unusual genetic color variation in white-tailed deer — rarer even than albinism — produces all-black offspring in that species which are known as “melanistic” or “melanic” deer.
Is this true? Bc I was born in 93 and I would like to try zima now that I’m legal
I’m not sure if they still sell them now, but last summer when I made this post they were. I bought a few and understand why they were discontinued. It was trying to be a wine cooler and beer all at the same time. While not unpleasant definitely something I would specifically choose to drink.
I looked it up; I think it was just for last year 😢 I didn’t see any at all in my area. I like drinking, but tbh that sounds gross, as I like neither wine coolers nor beer. The concept reminds me if those “margarita” mini cans by Miller and just blegh
Earth, now a desolate and scarcely habitable planet, is searching for a new home among the stars. Only the A&Es are allowed on this voyage for their genes are still pure while the Remainders, though still human, genes have mutated beyond repair. This however doesn’t stop Kai from sneaking aboard the Eden to be with Bonnie and their unborn child.
The Eden lands on Kokkino but aren’t getting any reception from the Genesis or the Exodus ships that set out before them. Captain Lockwood sends out a few crew mates for a brief recon but it goes horribly wrong as the crew gets mauled and eaten by the Casistos; A deadly yet sophisticated race of predators. When they invade the ship Bonnie and Kai are overlooked and this doesn’t go unnoticed. The remaining crew manages to fight them off but due to having weapons on a “peaceful” planet they’re deemed criminals and are now being hunted by the Casistos.
In the ensuing chaos Bonnie and a few others get captured separating her from Kai and her friends. Having no other choice Kai gets hold of a shuttle and goes to find help. Landing on the resort paradise planet of Aurum doesn’t go as planned as Kai and his little band of misfits learn too much and get caught up in the seedy black market trade.
Meanwhile a group of Remainders squabbling among themselves find evidence of an area not covered in the deadly smog that now envelopes most of Earth. Upon arrival it’s revealed the area is in fact an underground city. While confronting the leader of the city one of the monitoring screens catches Meredith’s attention. It’s a distress signal from the Eden. Knowing that their loved ones were aboard the ship the group “convinces” the leader to give them a vessel and weapons to help. When they do make it off the planet they run into the Senpaga, a race of tall, orange-skinned humanoids at war with Rige. Trapped literally between a rock and a hard place the group has no choice but to get involved in their war.
So yeah this was supposed to be a fanfic collab between @fuckitimfangirling and I but life and other things (like computers getting deleted on my end) ended up making this space opera au just a fun idea at most. Instead I decided (after reading Defy the Worlds) to do an aesthetic for it.
What I find ironic about this parallel is it shows how much Plec was Bull Shitting about Tonnie. She was worried about copying BTVS, insert white witch, problem solved 😒
