(Kai Parker x Bonnie Bennett)

He feels rage. He feels love. He feels pain. He feels it all.

Watching Bonnie Bennett in a pool of blood grasping for the last tread of life with all her life. It brought to him a dull ache in his sinking chest as Kai silently watches in pure and utter shock as the snaky jet black haired vampire makes the final decision of letting Bonnie die just so he could selfishly hold Elena in his arms again.

The air runs thin as he desperately watches on, hoping that he’d change his mind and come back to save her life but no then he turns to look at the witch, words forming but mind robbing them away before they would reach his lips.

Fool. He thinks, she will never love you. You can’t go back from this.

“He just left you” Kai scoffs in unbelief, anger in the form of tears forming at the time of his eyes as Bonnie tries her hardest to block him off but in that moment Damon’s betrayal magnified his every words. Even with her life slipping away, she wanted dearly to defend her Friend. A friend who left her to die.

“The whole point of this…” He shakes his head looking down “Was that this would torture him for awhile” his words come out hard and cold with a look in his eyes that spelled hurt. He was hurt for Bonnie. Hurt that she was left the way his coven once left him. He remembers, craving loving hands upon his brokenness instead he was bound. Bound because he was so powerful. Just like Bonnie. Power was so feared. Power brought them to know each other.

“He could’ve at least flipped a coin” he says hurtfully holding back a tear

And he loved her. In his own twisted way but he knew well that she would never love him back.

“I was thinking maybe heads he’d pick saving you..” he looks down, rolling up his sleeve to expose his wrist with the sound of her dangerously fading heartbeat echoing through his ears. He wonders if the little witch would be grateful after tonight. After he’s given her the chance Damon denied her but expecting anything from Bonnie was always so unpredictable. She always exceeded his expectations. She never failed. But he enjoyed the thought of keeping her close by if she decided to come to the darkness with him.

“And tails if-“

He stops abruptly. Bloodshot eyes and stifled breathing, his veins in his body suddenly on open flame. His lungs are completely shut, blood flow restricted and his vision steadily failing. When he looks down he sees one of Damon’s arm impaling him from behind, his hand clutching at his heart from inside.

“Heads it is” Damon grunts and with a single twist of hand from inside Kai’s chest time slows down to nanoseconds.

Right there, he sees flashes of Bonnie Bennett’s face right before his eyes. From the moment he caught the sunlight midst her beautiful long eyelashes. Her magnetic eyes as she gazed upon him while pressing her palm against his chest. Right where he wanted to feel her and he did. He felt all of her when he felt her magic under her velvety smooth skin like running water. Pulsating heat as it would send him off the edge every-time he got a taste of it. She was so incredibly sweet.

Her voice, her lips, her fingertips. He’d miss it all. He will. He will miss the fear she stirred up in his heart. Alien sensations, unthinkable reactions, pointless thoughts and recklessness . The need to want to keep her by his side all times after one day they make peace with each other. He opened for that “one day” if he could be saved the way Klaus was.

He will remember the small goodness she’s inspired him. Siphoning off the vampire magic out of Caroline’s mom to give her a less crueler death…sending Jeremy into the prison world to stop Bonnie from killing herself…wanting to give her a shot at life when Damon seemingly left her to die. He wanted so bad to be the hero. A dishonourable hero no one will love or know of.

He wants to say her name for the final time but it’s too late, his heart is out of his chest and in Damon’s hand instead. He feels his body grow cold but he remembers the warmth he felt on the prison world instead the moment he laid eyes on her. She was the prettiest thing he got stuck on and he will always remember falling in love with Bonnie Bennett. He will remember it all.
