Day 13

Note: A direct continuation of this drabble (day 7).  

For the longest time, she has believed that the universe is paying her back somehow.  This life, the peace she feels in it — it is a reward for every moment of suffering she had endured until she made the decision to bind her magic.  

His sudden appearance makes her question that belief.  

Bonnie stands there, the candy bowl clutched tightly in her fingers.  She is still wide eyed and wondering just how he has managed to find her (she took great steps to hide herself away in this quiet neighborhood).  His very presence seems to taint the air and she half expects the ground to split behind him.  He should not be here.

Finally, when Macie shrieks in delight, Bonnie pulls herself free enough to speak. “You need to leave.  Now.”
