Bonkai AU: PART TWO of “The Reset” series. It’s been two years since Bonnie left her life behind back in Mystic Falls, attempting to start fresh in Portland. Things with Kai couldn’t be better. But she’s in Gemini territory now and with that comes a whole new set of problems. Bonnie and Kai’s relationship is truly put to the test.
Kai switched on the radio, a song by The Neighbourhood playing from the speakers. Taking two more exits, he switched gears and started guiding the vehicle down a long stretch of road. About three minutes later, Bonnie seemed to realize that their destination wasn’t where she thought it was.
Ah, finally he had her attention.
“Kai?” Bonnie pulled herself back into the car. He could feel her eyes burning a hole into the side of his head. “…where are we going?”
“Finally noticed, huh?” He chuckled. “I was beginning to think you were going to space out the entire ride.”
She puffed out her cheeks before frowning slightly. “Where are we going?” she asked again.
“Well, I need to drop by my place.” He smirked, she could see it from the side of his face. “I mean, you need to figure out where you’re going to put your stuff, right?” He said it so easily. As if it was clearly the only logical thing that mattered in that moment.
And there was no mistaking it – he was not joking. He actually seemed smug? Maybe even a little excited at the prospect.
“Wait, what?” Bonnie blinked at him as he took the final exit before speeding down the street.

If her subconscious thought he escaped wouldn’t he be wearing what she last saw him in? I wouldn’t exactly say she felt guilty for leaving him there but I know it means something that while he’s guilt tripping her in her dream he’s wearing the same thing he was when he was asking her for a chance.
But, it was Joseph Morgan’s idea to have Klaus die at the end of the season. He seems to be done with Klaus and not interested in coming back to work on Legacies or make KC endgame.
Kind of find it a selfish entitlement for any Stans to sign a petition of an actor or actress makes it clear they are done with a certain character or aren’t interested in coming back for a certain show. Selfish and entitled to sign a petition to force an actor/actress to come back for the sake of a fictional ship, if they make it clear they’re no longer interested.
As for how some KC Stans dismiss Klonnie fans. They seem to have a similar sense of entitlement that the DE fandom had towards Bamon fans. KC fans against Klonnie fans believe that people should only be allowed to ship and want Klaus with Caroline and no one else. Especially not a black woman.
They really can’t say anything though. Klaroline went seasons without interacting or having scenes together and KC Stans still wanted them together and felt entitled to having them as endgame just because of one quickie in the woods.
Hypocrites for calling Klonnie fans delusional for their believe that Klaus is in love with Caroline. Yet, when Klaus was about Cami and Caroline about Stefan, it didn’t stop them from wanting or shipping KC. Despite the two of them going years without interacting in scenes together.
Klonnie could have been built up into something if Plec didn’t resent the thought of Bonnie having a leading male character or die being getting a desirable/popular male character over Elena/Caroline.
But, when you look at how some of them attack and insult/bully Persia simply because they are bitter over Joseph being married to her and bitter because he isn’t checking for Candice King. And how they throw a tamper tantrum because Joseph dare posts content with his wife on his social media accounts.
Then I guess it shouldn’t be surprising that they attack some for preferring Klaus with a black woman over a white woman. Since they attack a black woman in real life due to Joseph being married to one, because they thirst for Jodice and in return want Joseph to thirst for a white actress over his wife.
When she thinks of hunger, she thinks of vampires.
Bonnie has seen how easily vampires can be overcome with it. It is a constant battle, she thinks, between being sane and being hungry. Some vampires are better at it than others. She can’t even think of a time she has witnessed Caroline feed. Her friend treats it as a personal affair, not something to flaunt. She knows that Caroline feels the hunger. She can see it in her face — but Caroline refuses to let it control her. Which is better than others. Bonnie knows what giving oneself over to hunger can do to a vampire. It can drag them down — make them more monster than anything. Those vampires are to be avoided.
She never thinks of hunger when it comes to witches.
